Jennifer Reed On The Road
I used to be so excited once i learned I won tickets for the Range of Skulls concert in NYC through Rock The Vote’s (RTV) On the highway page. I’m always checking RTV’s On the highway site since it hosts tons of ticket giveaways and volunteer opportunities for that coolest concerts. Obviously, I’m around it. Who doesn’t want a free usage of a killer concert? After i saw RTV was giving out tickets to Gang of Skulls, I immediately entered the giveaway. And lucky for me personally, I WON! I definitely was freaking out once i heard that one… I’m the girl whose name is rarely picked in the hat, therefore i should be exercising the right karma.

Gang of Skulls is one of my favorite bands, and my respect for them sky-rocketed when I discovered they donated tickets for Rock the Vote’s Onthe Road page. I discovered about Gang of Skulls after Spotify suggested I tune in to them. Initially I heard their track “Light of the Morning,” I had been hooked. My fandom only increased after I won tickets and saw them live in NYC. This guitar rock band posseses an amazing cohesiveness when playing. Their music is tight, concise and to the idea. These people have a special souped up that keeps them all together, in time, within the moment, and they are musically on point all the time. Their big musical drops, and changes in rhythm are what get me most. Not to mention, their tracks has catchy lines that basically resonate. You realize an audio lesson is great when you are able relate to it and sing along easily. It is a band I dig. They are perfect making use of their harmonies and they've a perfect mixture of hard rock, soft head banger, simplistic melodies, unexpected pickups, with amazing bass lines plus a dynamic drummer.
Basically thought winning tickets to Band of Skulls’ NYC show was cool then imagine my excitement once i surely could meet the band after the show. I somehow held myself together as I chatted with lead singer Russell about his obsession with Gretch Falcon guitars as well as their formation like a band in Southhampton, England. As well as, their bass player is really a badass chick who runs the ship. If you happen to get the chance to determine them live, it’s totally worth every penny and i also almost certainly will be there to share inside the love.
